Meja Benitez 07 Boys Win in overtime

Overtime victory in Final

The Meja Benitez 07 Boys, had a great showing at the Spring Kickoff tournament this past weekend, the team played 3 games on Saturday, winning all 3 to make sure they would make an appearance at Sunday mornings final. The final started off not so good and had the team down 0-2 early in the 1st half, a few adjustments by the coach and the team was back even at 2-2 early into the 2nd half and later up 3-2, Selecto WF, came back to tie the game up with about 5 minutes to go in regulation forcing the game into over time. The game went all the way to penalty kicks. The Goal keeper had a shut out performance which lead the team to a championship victory.Final score 3(3)-3(0) This season should be an extremely exciting one.

Please mark your calendars for Saturday, February 7th, at 1:00 pm for Meja Feats of Strength, Agility and Skills!  

The Meja Soccer Club will host a competition at the Meja Richardson facility to test players' soccer abilities.  Players should come prepared to demonstrate their power, accuracy, skill and speed in a fun day of individual competitions.  

There is no cost to participate and the competition is open to anyone who would like to compete.  This includes players, family, friends, coaches, etc.  

We will also be honoring the Juggling Club winners for the Fall 2014 season!  

The Fall 2014 winners are:

'03 - Natalia Villa - Meja Shephard '03 Girls

'01 - Ben Rendon - Meja Predator Contreras '01 Boys

'00 - Abbie Bullard - Meja East '00 Girls

'97 - Irvin Ruiz - Meja Martinez '97 Boys

 

We will have a limited amount of Meja Spirit Wear available to purchase, along with Meja soccer balls.

Our Meja East '00 Girls just returned from competing at the Las Vegas Thanksgiving Classic.  They started strong with a 1-0 win over LVPSA '00 Girls Red on Friday morning.  Friday afternoon, they showed up strong with a 1-1 draw over the eventual bracket winner, FC Man United '99 Girls.

Saturday morning, they lost 1-0 on a controversial penalty kick after dominating the goal scoring opportunities.  Saturday afternoon, they jumped out to a 2 goal lead early, but were caught from behind in the final minutes of play and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

The weather was beautiful and the girls had a great time exploring the Las Vegas Blvd strip!  The girls were exposed to the West coast style of play and will use this experience to continue building upon their successful Fall season!

There are big things happening here at the Meja Soccer Club!  

We are excited to announce that our club has become an official member of ChievoVerona's North American Academy!
 
ChievoVerona is an Italian professional club, with an excellent reputation, that plays in Serie A.  This partnership will offer new opportunities for our players and coaches, on both a local and international level.  

Meja East '00 Girls Finish 1st!

Congratulations are in order for Meja East '00 Girls who finished in first place for the fall season in Plano Premier League DII!  The top finish will move the team into DI for the spring season.  

Meja East '00 Girls finished the season with a record of 7-1-1, scoring 34 goals while only allowing 7!

Great job girls and coaches!

Meja East '00 Girls are heading to Las Vegas this Thanksgiving!  They will be playing in the Las Vegas Thanksgiving Classic!  Good luck ladies!

The Meja Soccer Club is excited to announce that Coach Franklin Flores will be offering Friday night skills sessions at the Meja Richardson facility, beginning on September 12th at 6:30 pm. 
 
All Meja players are invited to attend the first session on September 12th for free.

Future sessions will cost $15 per player.  Sessions will start at 6:30 pm on Friday nights.
 
Coach Flores is a former professional soccer player, who has also played at the international level.  

Do not miss this excellent opportunity to train with Coach Flores and improve your playing ability!

The Meja North 00 Girls team wrapped up 3rd place in the Denver Cup with a 3-2 victory over Colorado Storm North White on Sunday.  Mia Belz scored a goal, and Micaela Ramoz scored twice, including the game winner.  Micaela Ramoz netted 3 goals for the tournament, Salma Kline – 2, and Julia Martinez, Presleigh Parker, and Mia Belz each had one goal for the tournament.  The team finished 2-1-1 overall, and the 3rd place game was a rebound victory after losing to Colorado Storm North White 2-0 the day before, eliminating Meja from the finals.

Coach Krys Sobieski is the official goalkeeper coach for Meja SC. With Krys having played and coached goalkeepers at the international and professional level, Meja SC  now has the premier Goalkeeper Development Program in North Texas!
 
Eight Meja goalkeepers participated in our first session last night, and received expert instruction while being challenged for over 90 minutes by Coach Krys.
 
All Meja players are eligible to register for our Goalkeeper Development Program. Sessions will be held at the Richardson facility on Tuesday and Thursday nights, beginning at 7:00 pm. Sessions range from 60-90 minutes. 
 
For the remainder of July, sessions are purchased one at a time.  Beginning in August, sessions can be purchased in blocks at a discount. 
 
Individual sessions can be purchased for $20. 
 
If you purchase a block of 6 sessions for $100, you get a 7th session free. 
 
Please encourage your keepers to take advantage of this awesome opportunity.  Their first session is free, so there is no commitment to try it out.

Our Meja East '00 Girls just returned from competing at the Las Vegas Thanksgiving Classic.  They started strong with a 1-0 win over LVPSA '00 Girls Red on Friday morning.  Friday afternoon, they showed up strong with a 1-1 draw over the eventual bracket winner, FC Man United '99 Girls.

Saturday morning, they lost 1-0 on a controversial penalty kick after dominating the goal scoring opportunities.  Saturday afternoon, they jumped out to a 2 goal lead early, but were caught from behind in the final minutes of play and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

The weather was beautiful and the girls had a great time exploring the Las Vegas Blvd strip!  The girls were exposed to the West coast style of play and will use this experience to continue building upon their successful Fall season!

There are big things happening here at the Meja Soccer Club!  

We are excited to announce that our club has become an official member of ChievoVerona's North American Academy!
 
ChievoVerona is an Italian professional club, with an excellent reputation, that plays in Serie A.  This partnership will offer new opportunities for our players and coaches, on both a local and international level.

Congratulations are in order for Meja East '00 Girls who finished in first place for the fall season in Plano Premier League DII!  The top finish will move the team into DI for the spring season.  

Meja East '00 Girls finished the season with a record of 7-1-1, scoring 34 goals while only allowing 7!

Great job girls and coaches!

Meja East '00 Girls are heading to Las Vegas this Thanksgiving!  They will be playing in the Las Vegas Thanksgiving Classic!  Good luck ladies!

The Meja Soccer Club is excited to announce that Coach Franklin Flores will be offering Friday night skills sessions at the Meja Richardson facility, beginning on September 12th at 6:30 pm. 
 
All Meja players are invited to attend the first session on September 12th for free.

Future sessions will cost $15 per player.  Sessions will start at 6:30 pm on Friday nights.
 
Coach Flores is a former professional soccer player, who has also played at the international level.  

Do not miss this excellent opportunity to train with Coach Flores and improve your playing ability!

The Meja North 00 Girls team wrapped up 3rd place in the Denver Cup with a 3-2 victory over Colorado Storm North White on Sunday.  Mia Belz scored a goal, and Micaela Ramoz scored twice, including the game winner.  Micaela Ramoz netted 3 goals for the tournament, Salma Kline – 2, and Julia Martinez, Presleigh Parker, and Mia Belz each had one goal for the tournament.  The team finished 2-1-1 overall, and the 3rd place game was a rebound victory after losing to Colorado Storm North White 2-0 the day before, eliminating Meja from the finals.

Coach Krys Sobieski is the official goalkeeper coach for Meja SC. With Krys having played and coached goalkeepers at the international and professional level, Meja SC  now has the premier Goalkeeper Development Program in North Texas!
 
Eight Meja goalkeepers participated in our first session last night, and received expert instruction while being challenged for over 90 minutes by Coach Krys.
 
All Meja players are eligible to register for our Goalkeeper Development Program. Sessions will be held at the Richardson facility on Tuesday and Thursday nights, beginning at 7:00 pm. Sessions range from 60-90 minutes. 
 
For the remainder of July, sessions are purchased one at a time.  Beginning in August, sessions can be purchased in blocks at a discount. 
 
Individual sessions can be purchased for $20. 
 
If you purchase a block of 6 sessions for $100, you get a 7th session free. 
 
Please encourage your keepers to take advantage of this awesome opportunity.  Their first session is free, so there is no commitment to try it out.

Meja Benitez 07 Boys Win in overtime

Overtime victory in Final

The Meja Benitez 07 Boys, had a great showing at the Spring Kickoff tournament this past weekend, the team played 3 games on Saturday, winning all 3 to make sure they would make an appearance at Sunday mornings final. The final started off not so good and had the team down 0-2 early in the 1st half, a few adjustments by the coach and the team was back even at 2-2 early into the 2nd half and later up 3-2, Selecto WF, came back to tie the game up with about 5 minutes to go in regulation forcing the game into over time. The game went all the way to penalty kicks. The Goal keeper had a shut out performance which lead the team to a championship victory.Final score 3(3)-3(0) This season should be an extremely exciting one.

Meja Skills Competition!

Please mark your calendars for Saturday, February 7th, at 1:00 pm for Meja Feats of Strength, Agility and Skills!  

The Meja Soccer Club will host a competition at the Meja Richardson facility to test players' soccer abilities.  Players should come prepared to demonstrate their power, accuracy, skill and speed in a fun day of individual competitions.  

There is no cost to participate and the competition is open to anyone who would like to compete.  This includes players, family, friends, coaches, etc.  

We will also be honoring the Juggling Club winners for the Fall 2014 season!  

The Fall 2014 winners are:

'03 - Natalia Villa - Meja Shephard '03 Girls

'01 - Ben Rendon - Meja Predator Contreras '01 Boys
